Open Doors has become one of the most well-known restaurants in Noordwijk aan Zee since opening its doors in 2010. Founded by hospitality entrepreneur Nico van der Spek, the restaurant was created with one clear vision: a welcoming place where great food, relaxed atmosphere and genuine hospitality come together.
With over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Nico transformed the former local café into a vibrant restaurant and bar where guests can enjoy lunch, dinner, drinks and lively evenings all in one place.
Since 2022, his son Dex van der Spek joined as co-owner, making Open Doors a true family-run restaurant where passion for hospitality is passed on to the next generation.
The name Open Doors reflects both our building and our philosophy. The restaurant features more than 400 doors, giving the interior its unique character.
More importantly, our doors are always open to everyone. Whether you are visiting Noordwijk for a beach holiday, a weekend getaway or a night out, you are always welcome to stop by for lunch, dinner or drinks.
Open Doors is located in the historic seaside village of Noordwijk, right next to the boulevard and just a short walk from the beach.
Our spacious terrace can be enjoyed all year round. On sunny days the roof opens, allowing you to enjoy outdoor dining sheltered from the wind. Upstairs, guests can even enjoy views of the sea, while our balcony offers a perfect spot to watch the sunset.
